1st Sprocket Mounted

It works! Or at least it looks like it’s going to work.

The first sprocket arrived today and using a 3D printed template I drilled the holes to match the wheels and the sprocket is now sitting perfectly on the wheel.

Other sprockets are in the post so should be here by the end of the week. The sprockets for the most part are 55 tooth but I decided to go with larger 80 tooth sprockets on the two axles which are connected to the motors as this gives me a larger gear ratio (7:1) and would produce more torque. According to my calculations, this will give me a speed of 5kph without load. I haven’t yet estimated what speed it will do with load but it is surprisingly heavy and I still have the weight of the motors to add when they eventually arrive, sigh…
