It’s not yet perfect; sprocket mounts for the back wheels haven’t been printed yet so whilst it does OK on the tiled floor, it struggles on a surface which has more friction. It also doesn’t go as fast as it did originally. This is probably in part psychological; not being tethered to it anymore means I’m more comfortable with it going faster, but also to get it radio controlled I’ve changed the motor controller. The motors are rated at 16 amps. The previous controller was rated at 15a whereas the one that’s currently installed is 12a. At 24v that’s 72 watts I’m losing. When you consider they are only 300w motors, that’s quite a significant number, 24% in fact. It will be interesting to get it on a hill and see how it performs.
